Off-Site Visit: Blessings in a Backpack

Blessings in a Backpack, a national program that targets childhood hunger, serves as a model of the value of collaboration. Come learn how Auburn University students and staff partner with local school systems and the Dufner Foundation to help feed more than 700 students per week. Each week throughout the school year, children who otherwise may not have food to eat over the weekend are sent home with a bag of food on Friday afternoons. Teachers discreetly place the food bags into pre-selected students’ backpacks.

Participants of this Off-Site Visit will help pack bags with food for the children of Blessings in a Backpack.
